A Good Ol’ Monkey Crew Vacation
Old Uncle George was excited to finally have a chance to reign in his busy family and the Monkey Crew who were all usually scattered far across Monkey Land in search of adventures, bananas, pop-rocks, and all matters of mischief. Ol’ Uncle George had arranged a two- week family vacation by the sea at one of his favourite spots as a youngster, Blue Baboon Bay. This is gonna be great, he thought. The largest and oldest monkey in Monkey Town, and all the known monkey world, stretched out in the back of his nephew Jeb’s truck.
Greetings from Blue Baboon Bay! Tail Mail
Blue Baboon Bay was a quiet but rather large ocean bay tucked behind the Monkey Sea Mountains and the Sea Commander’s Castles about a three-hour drive from Monkey Town. It was a little sea monkey’s paradise. The waters were warm and turquoise blue with whitish sand. It had an abundance of beaches, parks, waterfalls, jungly little canyons, and chattering and bubbling creeks.
Palm Falls Baboon Beach Curious Caverns
Old Uncle George could almost smell the fresh sea air now as they cruised past Banana Lake and pushed on towards the hills around Blue Baboon Bay. Suddenly, a sweet little voice from the rear seats behind him piped up, “Um, excuse me. Did we miss a turn? Shouldn't we be stopping at Banana Lake?” Old Uncle George smiled, he didn’t have to turn around to know who that was. That was Rosebud, a little songbird of a monkey who could swim like a fish and who taught music at Monkey Town School. The clear crisp waters of Banana lake were widely known to be the chatty and energetic monkey’s favourite escape from the busyness of Monkey Town.
“Not long now!” cried Jeb from the front seat as they slowed to a halt. “Looks like Piper wants to stop at the village for something.”
